Instant Rewards App: Scam Or Legit?
I came across Instant Rewards via the IOS app store and thought I’d check it out. It’s a reward app, where you can earn cash and gift cards for certain activities.
These activities include…
Watching videos, taking surveys, completing offers and referring others.
All the usual activities you would expect from a rewards site.
But how does it stack up in comparison to some of the big players, like Swagbucks? I decided to check it out.
Review In Brief:
Company: Instant rewards. instantrewardsapp.com
Money Making Opportunity: Pocket money/gift cards
Overall Rating: Not recommended right now! This appears to be an outdated app, without much going on at the present time. It seems particularly empty if you’re in the UK… If you’re in the US, then you may see more available to you.
When I visited, there weren’t even offers available, there was no opportunities to earn from watching videos as they suggested.
To complete any surveys, I was linked out to other survey companies online, which ends up meaning you need to sign up to these different websites and it’s not user friendly.
Stay with me until the end, where I will link you up to some of my recommended sites/apps.
What Is Instant Rewards App & Can You Really Make Money With It?
Initially you just download the App via App Store or Google Play for free and you then need to register. You simply enter your name and email and create a password.
If someone referred you, you also enter your referral code.
I was then able to access the inside… which was, pretty empty!
There were four options along the bottom of the App: What’s Hot, Surveys, Rewards and Accounts.
I was on “what’s Hot…” but there was nothing there at all. Just a blank page. Not very hot!
I clicked on surveys and there was a link to Sayso surveys.
Which essentially just links you directly to the SaySo rewards site and you do not complete surveys via the app, you’d need to sign up with this rewards site prior to being able to complete anything.
I clicked below instead to “surveys and offers…” Which then redirected me again to another website called Peanut Labs and I have reviewed them before.
They’re legitimate but, if you’re going to download an App like this, I’d have thought you’d expect to complete surveys actually ON THE APP and not just be shipped of to a completely external survey website.
It seems to go against the whole idea of having an App in the first place. If I wanted to do surveys on the web, I’d just go to the providers directly on my laptop.
I went ahead and clicked the third option anyway. This option said I could answer a survey to be in with the chance of winning a $20 Amazon gift card.
But, what are the odds of winning that, do you reckon? I’m sure you’d rather be earning points, or cash – right?
Aside from this though, there was absolutely NOTHING ELSE!
So, where was I going to watch videos, or complete paid offers?
There may be more available to you, depending on your location but from what I can see – this is just an outdated app that’s been left active.
It’s not just the offers and surveys that are outdated, the whole APP looks outdated too.
Looking at how others experience the APP, it looks like there used to be a tab at the bottom, linking you to videos you could watch, offers and tasks but that was not available to me.
I’m not sure if there was less there because I’m in the UK … or if this is just how the app looks now.
You can see the tabs that were actually available to me below. It’s completely empty, as you can see.
Does the App look differently to you? Let me know in the comments!
What do other people say about Instant Rewards App?
This App currently has close to 4 stars on Google Play.
However, many reviews left are only 1 star, with people claiming they haven’t been paid and that their emails have not been responded too.
Many also claim to have had their accounts closed, while they still had money owed and that it was for unfounded reasons.
It’s extremely common people say this about reward apps, but they do have incredibly strict rules at times, that some people may not be aware they’re actually breaking.
Another criticism is that people claim to not have been rewarded after completing offers. Again, when completing offers, you have to be really careful to follow all the steps correctly.
I have so had often issues when completing offers on other sites and not being rewarded, it can then be a real struggle to try to get it.
You need to make sure you remember to take screen shots and have proof you’ve made a purchase.
The 5 star reviews seem to have boosted this up to a 3.8 in total. But, then it makes me somewhat suspicious of the good reviews, within this sea of bad ones.
A lot of the reviews are also quite dated from 2015 to 2016.
After checking out the App details, it says it was last updated in 2016! So, it doesn’t look very current.
On ITunes, this app currently has 4 stars.
As far as online reviews go, I certainly wasn’t convinced by the scattering and also was concerned about the lack of more recent ones.
Cashing Out With Instant Rewards:
Unfortunately, if you’re outside the US, then you’ll be a bit stuck.
Even the amazon vouchers available were for Amazon.com – however, you could withdraw via PayPal and then just exchange into your currency.
Rewards available were:
- Dunkin Donuts
- Home Depot
You can see an image of the rewards below…
You need over 10500 credits to redeem $10 to PayPal.
Although, I have zero idea how long that would take you normally to reach, as there weren’t any offers open to me.
Also, the surveys available were via other independent survey companies.
Which means, I would earn points with them and they would not go on to my instant rewards account.
There wasn’t anything available for me to do actually ON the app at the time of writing, that would have made me any credits.
If you’re in the UK like me, you may want to read this post instead.
Instant Rewards App: Legit Or Scam?
By the look of this App, it seems it’s on the way out. That may change, perhaps they will update it and get it moving again, but it doesn’t look exciting at the moment.
Also, I was struck by the number of poor reviews of one star, all claiming they had not been paid.
Most Apps and rewards programs will have some people claiming they’ve been unfairly blocked out, or that the customer service is poor – but there were a LOT of people claiming that they hadn’t been paid what they were owed and that no one was responding to their emails.
There was definitely enough negative feedback from what I saw, that I would not bother with this App…. even if there was something here to bother with!
But that’s the thing, right now this app doesn’t have anything to offer.
It’s outdated and they haven’t bothered to either take it down, or sort it out and improve it.
In addition, you seem to have to earn a LOT of credits before you can actually redeem anything anyway.
Will I Keep Instant Rewards Installed?
I won’t be wasting anymore time with this app and will uninstall it right away. There are many Apps out there that offer a lot more.
One that comes to mind recently is MooCash.… I wasn’t impressed initially, as you do need to earn a lot of points to redeem, but they also did have a tonne of ways you could earn points and some were quite different to the norm.
If you’d like to earn points for just surfing the web and doing what you always do – then I recommend Swagbucks & you can get a bonus $5 for signing up.
Let me know if you have any experience with instant rewards, or if you recommend any other Apps. I’m always looking for new ways to make or save money online.

Beyond Apps and Reward Sites – How Can You Earn MORE?
Making money from reward sites, cashback Apps, or paid offers can be a way to build up some extra money on the side, as long as it’s something you enjoy.
However, most people give up on it after a while because it just doesn’t pay enough to be worthwhile for most people!
Several years ago I looked into how I could earn more from home and eventually started to try to make enough that I could forget about looking for work outside the home…. and maybe even could earn enough to eventually pay off crazy debts we’d accumulated.
Well, I have discovered various ways that you can start making money online, but I earn the most right now from running websites like this one and earning from them in a variety of ways.
For example; I make the most right now from affiliate marketing and paid advertising – but there are also other options, like selling your own products and sponsored content.
Some people from building websites/blogs up to a certain income level and then, selling them on for a big profit.
