Is Paid Surveys UK A Scam, Or Legit?
Hey there, today I’m looking into Paid Surveys UK… Before I begin though, I’d like to point out that there is ANOTHER site with an almost identical URL that’s a completely separate website.
So, while today I’m looking at paidsurveysuk.com… There is also another site called paidsurveys.uk.com
The second site mentioned claims you can make £300 a month from taking surveys, which – while doesn’t sound too ridiculous, actually is pretty misleading.
I will review that site as well and link to it here when I’m done!
In the meantime, I’m looking at paidsurveys uk. Is this a scam site? Making money from answering surveys may sound quite simple… but is it?
I’ve thoroughly checked out this site and I know what it has to offer, so let’s dig in and I will share what I know.

There are various types of survey sites out there – this one is a portal site, meaning they link you up to various other survey sites on the web and do not house any actual surveys themselves.
This sort of portal site, simply recommends a variety of different survey-related sites and links you directly to them.
Some sites like this can be deceptive, claiming you can make much more than you realistically can. They do this because they are keen for you to sign up, as they receive a commission.
The more honest sites are transparent about what they really are and don’t make over-exaggerated earning claims, but what about this?
Well, this website seems more along the honest line.
For example, right away on their homepage they tell you that they link you to eligible survey panels in the UK.
So, they’re transparent about what sort of site they are and they aren’t promising you will make thousands from doing online surveys.
Some scam websites will charge a fee for you access a list of survey sites that they claim will make you thousands a month, when they’re really just a list of regular paid survey sites you can find for free yourself.
In any case, paid surveys uk has been around for a while now, since 2005 and it looks like they don’t spend so much time updating it anymore…. their blog hasn’t been updated in two years.
How Does Paid Surveys Work?
To me this site works a little bit more like a blog than a standard survey portal site.
Because, there is no sign up required, you don’t need to login or anything – they simply have a list of sites that they recommend, plus some other info relating to making money with survey sites.
They give you some information about each survey site that they’re promoting – such as how they pay you, or whether they have a referral program and they provide a link to the site.
If you’re looking for a balanced review for these survey sites however, this isn’t what you’re going to get with websites like this.
They have decided what companies they want to promote and they send you to them. They’re not going to be giving you any negative information.
Whether they direct you to these specific sites because they actually recommend them, I’m not really sure.
It seems more likely, that they will direct you to a site with the highest commission payout.
That being said, they’re not just linking you to scams, (as some other portal-related sites do).
But they could link you to any number of survey sites, that are considered legitimate – without necessarily believing they’re worth your time, or even any good for that matter.
Is This Site A Bit Different To The Norm?
What I liked about this portal site/survey directory, was that it doesn’t simply link directly to the survey sites with limited info.
There are the set of survey sites that they recommend, but there is also a link to learn more. From here you can go and check out their review.
While the reviews seem biased towards solely positive points about the surveys, they still do give you more in depth information.
Personally, I prefer to see a weigh up of some of the pros and cons and understand a more realistic picture.
Because too many people are under the impression that completing online surveys could be an easy way to make some extra cash and they really are not.
What else does the site have to offer?
Another thing I like about this site, is they have gone to some effort to offer a little bit extra as well.
They don’t just have the links to other survey sites – you can also search for sites specifically catered to what you’re looking for.
For example; you have the ability to search for surveys that pay in amazon vouchers, or offer paypal payments, or have a referral program.
They have additional pages talking about mystery shopping or product testing – I’m unfamiliar with some of the companies they’re recommending here, but I know that both those industries are full of scams too, so I’d do your research prior to getting involved in that.
As I mentioned previously, there was a blog too and it’s a shame that they seem to have given up on that one.
In any case, in comparison to similar sites that link to survey websites, this one has slightly more to offer than some. One that comes to mind is survey voices – another portal site that I don’t recommend.
PROS VS CONS
PROS
- No sign up required.
- Links to reputable survey sites.
- You don’t need to give any personal info to access their info here.
- If you have no idea what survey sites to join, there is a whole list in one place that you can get started with.
- I noticed this website has a connection to survey police… which is a legitimate site that I regularly link to myself and is very useful for seeking out customer reviews of survey panels.
CONS
- You’re not going to find an unbiased review of the survey platforms here. The survey panels on the website are ones they already recommend and they’re promoting them.
- You will have to become a member of any survey panel they link you to – so, if you want to sign up to five panels, you will have to become a member of five different platforms.
Can you really make money with online surveys?
Sure you can make money, but you won’t make very much.
To make anything half reasonable, you need to be consistent. Find the sites you like the best and have a set time each day that you will tackle them.
See how you go, the worst part of survey sites is the disqualification.
You will regularly attempt to join many surveys and not match the demographic they’re looking for.
It’s not too bad if you’re thrown off in the first minute or so… but sometimes it can be considerably longer.
Personally, I didn’t have the patience to stick with online surveys very much. But I have had friends pursue them consistently and make the odd £50+ each month.
Is Paid Surveys UK a Scam?
No, it’s not a scam. I would suggest that its’ value is fairly limited value wise but, if you’re new to taking online surveys and you’re looking for a bit of guidance – at least this site will link you, (for free) to some survey sites that are legitimate.
They aren’t charging you anything for giving you this information. All that happens is, they will receive a commission if you happen to join a survey site through them.
With so many sites out there blatantly trying to deceive you regarding online surveys, this website is being transparent and are not making any crazy claims about what you’ll make.
Ultimately, completing paid surveys is an incredibly slow and frustrating way to make money online…. but some people still enjoy doing them and maybe you will as well.
