Many people seeking out how to make money online are looking for a quick fix.
Often they may be desperate for money from the start and are looking for a way that they can make a lot of money – as soon as possible.
This can make a lot of people vulnerable to scams, because all scams play on peoples desperation for money, greed and fear.
We tend to have a fear of missing out on things, if someone can play on that fear and make us feel like we’re missing out on an opportunity that could change our lives, we’re all the more likely to fall for it.
There is a never ending line of scam artists ready to collect your money online with another get rich quick scheme.
The truth is, there is no quick fix to making money online. You can do it, but you need to dedicate yourself to the cause and know from the outset that you are in it for the long haul.
There are definitely plenty of things you can do to put yourself on the right road towards online success…
but the only person that’s going to get you there is you.
This is entirely dependent on your own motivation and your desire to succeed – as well as hard work.
I’m on my own journey building an income online and I’ve learnt an huge amount along the way – I’ve found a bunch of products that I’ve felt useful and I will share those as I go on this website.
I will only ever recommend a product that I completely believe in, either once I personally use myself regularly, or a product that I have extensively researched.
Anyone who says making money online is easy is lying to you!
That’s not to say it’s not possible. You really get out what you put in, if you’re prepared to work for it, you can do well.
But it can take as long to create an online business, as it would to create one out there in the real world – if you go into it with that thought in mind, you’ll be much more likely to stick to it long term.
The reality is, making money online takes dedication, hard work, trial and error.
You may well fail several times before you succeed. You need to pick yourself back up, change what you’re doing, start over, learn from your mistakes.
It takes a long term commitment. Many people give up. But most will give up before they’ve really even gotten started!
Why is this site called rags to niches? …well, clearly it’s a play on the phrase “rags to riches”…
I came into this online world with absolutely no knowledge about how I could make money online and next to no technical knowledge – but I wanted to change my life and work on my own terms.
I wanted to make enough money that I could support myself and my family by working online and clear all our debts.
I’m not there yet! But I’m moving in the right direction.
Even though I cam online absolutely clueless – I very quickly became engrossed in a totally unique online world that I was unaware existed.
It was an incredibly steep learning curve and I’m still learning every day. But what I have learnt and continue to learn, I’d like to share with others.
I started off the journey stumbling around looking up YouTube videos and random websites. A month in and I was more lost than ever.
I needed some direction. Thankfully, I found a great membership site and community– which is basically like a training platform where you can learn how to build an online business.
For me, being part of a community and being able to talk to people in the same position as me and with the same goals in mind, has been invaluable.
One key thing that will determine whether you can succeed or not is simply the ability to stick at it.
Most people give up within a few months. If that!
I’ve seen time and time again people expecting to be making money within days or a couple of weeks…
When they don’t start seeing the money come in, they think “this is too hard” and they quit.
This is absolutely the majority!!!
Would you expect to be turning over a profit with a regular business within a couple of weeks in the real world?
You need to give yourself at least a year of dedicated hard work to start seeing a little bit of potential.
If you have a website and you’re adding a post a month to it, your business is going to take a very long time to grow.
On the other hand, if you’re dedicating enough time to add 3, 4 or 5 posts or pages to your website every week, just imagine what sort of website you could have on your hands within a year?
You may now be wondering…”but how is a website going to make me money?”
The reality is, there are a huge number of ways you can make money from a website once you’re generating traffic.
If you’d like to learn how to create a free website online really simply, then it’s worth checking out my how to create a website post.
