Is FeaturePoints A Scam, Or Legit Money Making App?
This is an APP where you can earn points for downloading and using certain Apps and also by referring other people to download the APP.
You can then exchange these points eventually for cash and rewards.
Additionally, you can earn via sharing on social media, or making a testimonial…
But can you really make money with FeaturePoints? I downloaded it to find out.
Featurepoints Review in brief:
Company: FeaturePoints (download here).
Money Making Opportunity: Peanuts
Cost: Free!
Overall Rating? Legit – but this is a pocket money opportunity at best. However, if you like the idea of trying out new apps and earning a small reward for doing so, then you may like it!
How Does FeaturePoints Work?
Signing up was quick and easy to do for me. They initially asked you who referred you – if someone refers you, you can earn 50 bonus points. If you’d like the bonus points to start, you can use my code: 357B47 – or via this link.
As soon as I was in, I was asked to download my first App, (called “Videwow,”) and use it for 2 minutes.
After that two minutes, I was awarded 20 points.
What I did like about this is, it doesn’t take long- you can find out about apps that you may not have known otherwise and you can also delete the app after the allotted time if you’re not interested in it!
Making Money Downloading Apps:
You can check out the first app I downloaded below.
Unfortunately, the app seemed frozen and I couldn’t seem to do anything with it, it may have been my poor internet connection at the coffee place!
Eventually it worked and I was able to use it a little, but it kept freezing regularly.
Eventually it worked though and I was awarded my points.

Earning Via Apps:
So, each time you download an App, there is a value attached.
Build up your points and you can eventually redeem them for rewards.
How much the points are worth, can vary depending on what award you go for.
I’m in the UK and saw that for a £1 Amazon voucher, I’d need 810 points – which seems pretty high.
Do you have experience with Featurepoints? Let me know in the comments!
The first App I downloaded only awarded me 20 points!
Although some other apps awarded over 100 points, nevertheless it’s a fair amount to do for a single pound.
Also, there weren’t many apps at all available, but I’m guessing this could vary, depending on your location.
After you’re signed up,you can also earn additional points by setting up your profile, (filling in info such as your age and location).
You need to be careful to fully follow the instructions that they give you… if you miss something, you’re not going to be rewarded for downloading.
For example; if you’re downloading a game – you’ll usually have to play it to a certain level.
With other apps, you may have to perform some sort of action or use it for a set amount of time.
FeaturePoints Rewards Available:
There are a bunch of different awards available to choose from including:
- PayPal
- Amazon
- Itunes
- Starbucks
- … Recently bitcoins.
Other Ways You Can Earn With FeaturePoints:
After completing your profile and downloading apps, there are a few other ways that you can also earn via FeaturePoints:
– Share a custom video: This video will contain your affiliate code. Therefore, if someone clicks your video and signs up, you earn half of what they earn.
– Create a YouTube video: If you have a YouTube channel, or would like to start one, they ask you to create a YouTube video and they will pay you 300 points to do so… (not much when you consider that £1 giftcard is over 800 points…). That said, you could earn from your YouTube video from adsense, if you already have a popular channel.
– Like them on Facebook: you will get 20 points.
– Refer others to join. If you share your affiliate link and get others to join, you will get 50% of their earnings. But you can also provide them with an incentive to sign up through you, because they will get 50 extra points for signing up with your link.
What Do People Say About FeaturePoints Online?
Unfortunately, I have noticed a lot of the positive reviews I’ve seen include people’s referral code.
Sometimes, the promise of making money is enough for people to not give balanced reviews on things.
Therefore, where there is money on offer, you can often get people giving 5 star reviews, when they haven’t even looked at the App, let alone really recommend it.
Anyone who says that this a GREAT way to earn extra cash… hmmm… well, so far it seems a pretty limited way to earn extra money.
As an App to download more for fun, then yes – you could well enjoy the app.
PROS VS CONS
PROS
- Simple to do & could be a fun way to discover new apps.
- Free to download.
- Can cash out from $5 or £3 in the UK – low payout threshold.
- Referral program – earn 50% for life and incentive for referrals to sign up.
CONS
- There aren’t many apps right now, so it doesn’t look like much earning potential here, (perhaps this varies depending on your location).

Conclusion – Is FeaturePoints A Scam, Or Legit App?
If any affiliates out there are trying to say you can earn a fortune with FeaturePoints, that’s not the case.
FeaturePoints doesn’t make any claims about this at all, they’re a legit App where you can download and trial apps and get paid a, (very small) amount for doing so.
Is it worth it to make any significant money? No I don’t think so.
But if you enjoy discovering new apps, or if you have a blog or YouTube channel with an audience of people who may be interested in something like this, then it could be worth you checking it out.

Making Money – Beyond Apps Online!
As yet, I have not come across any Apps that give you the opportunity to make decent money online.
They may make you a little bit here and there, but nothing significant.
I wish I had, as I’d be more keen to actively promote them! 🙂
The best Apps I’ve reviewed so far, can save money via cashback.
At least you can save a bit of money from those, but they aren’t a “make money opportunity.”
Aside from that, the only ones I’ve seen that CLAIM you can make good money, have been scams.
If you have a decent app opportunity that I don’t know about, let me know in the comments!
I make the most online through building websites and earning from them, largely via affiliate marketing at this stage.
