Welcome to my Lucky Go App Review – can you REALLY WIN money here, is Lucky Go legit?
I downloaded it via Google Play to find out.
Having just reviewed Raffle Royale, (an App where you can play freebie raffles for cash wins) I discovered that this app was a far more appealing option!
Irrelevant to weather you win money or not, Lucky Go looks slick, works well, is fun to play and attractive to look at.
My First Impressions Of Lucky Go…
The App itself looks fun, I was impressed by the graphics and overall design.
There are also various ways you can earn coins and cash with Lucky Go and play games on the App, so it’s a bit more interesting that your standard free-scratcher app!
The first thing I did was a scratcher and won over 20,000 coins.
On the next scratchcard I won $1 and some more coins.
It then said I’d won a £5 bonus for either Amazon or PayPal, (see image below).
But when I clicked their link, it directed me to another App – called Playspot.
There were no instructions, but I downloaded the App and it told me I had 5000 coins added to my balance.
While these 5000 coins did equal $5/£5 on this other App, I wasn’t able to simply cash-out – because the minimum withdrawal was $20 or £20!
So, basically I would need to be active on this OTHER app and reach their threshold, before I got my reward.
Obviously, this offer was misleading. Even though it very clearly said “welcome bonus,” you still presume what they’re offering is £5 for you to claim then and there.
So, this made me feel a bit less enthusiastic about this App – as I just dislike these sort of tactics and you feel a bit conned.
How Can Lucky Go Give Away Free Money?
Obviously this App has to make their money somewhere, or they’d never have any prizes to give away.
That’s why you will frequently have to watch Ads in order to play another game and move on.
Lucky Go will get paid a certain amount for advertising and they will share a portion of their profits in the way of cash prizes.
Ways To Make Money With Lucky Go:
Firstly, you can get bonus rewards for each day you log in.
So, on day 1 you’ll get 2k tokens, on day 2 3k tokens and so on, up to day 7, when you can get 12k.
Other ways that you can make cash/tokens include:
- Free scratchcards – for a chance to win cash or tokens.
- A spin game – spin the wheel and potentially win a cash prize, or tokens.
- lotto – where with one match you get 30k tokens, 2 matches 150k tokens, 3 matches 300k tokens, 4 matches you win $2, 5 matches you win $30 and if you get 6 matches, you apparently win $100,000.
- Raffle – buy tickets and win up to $1000. You can buy raffle tickets with tokens but they seemed to be expensive. 25,000 tokens for ONE ticket in a raffle with a $1 prize!!
You can get free entries into larger ones though, with the opportunity to win additional entries into the draw. Weirdly the $400 raffle costs less to enter than the $1 one.
- Lucky Word – With this opportunity, they put a “lucky word,” on their Facebook page and you will potentially win a prize depending on when you enter the word on the Lucky Go app.
For example; the 1637th person will get 100,000 tokens and there are various other prizes depending on your place.
- QUIZ – earn additional tokens, by answering a series of questions.
How Do You Redeem Points?
You need $10 to cash out via PayPal or epayments.
$10 is at least lower than some other Apps out there.
For example; with Lucky Dollar, you need to have $40 before you can withdraw.
Still there are others like Lucky Day, where the threshold is $10 and you’ll still be hard pressed to get to $10…. Even if you play on a daily basis!
What Are Your Odds Of Winning?
You can check out your odds of winning by going to their terms of service section on the App, (found in “settings.”).
As you will see… The chances of winning the 100k prize with 6 numbers in the raffle is 1 in 163845360.
But if you’re thinking you may have a reasonable chance of winning a SMALL prize, you’d be wrong.
Your odds of winning just $5 in the raffle is 1 in 19219.3971!!!!!!!
So, even a $5 win is pretty out of reach there.
You can check out the odds of winning in all games, by simply going to settings and into their terms of service section.
Not all Apps provide this information readily, but it’s a real eye opener for anyone who is interested.
What Do Other People Say About Lucky Go?
Lucky Go has 4.6 stars on Google Play at the time of writing and close to 90,000 reviews! Which is excellent going for them.
People seem to enjoy the games and find it and all around more enjoyable app than other similar ones out there.
Having reviewed a tonne of these Apps, I very much agree – the enjoyment factor of this App and the overall user experience is good in comparison to others I’ve seen.
Plus, because the payout threshold is low, people feel encouraged to continue when they’ve made a few dollars.
The problem arises when they get to 9 dollars and then remain stuck there, which is a complaint people have across the board when it comes to free scratchcard related Apps.
The point of these Apps is for entertainment – yes there is a tiny chance of winning money, but if that’s your overall motivation, then I wouldn’t waste your time.
There are people who enjoy these apps and really don’t care that much about whether they win or lose.
And then there are people who are purely downloading Apps like this solely to win money and will spend hours of time for months & then be disappointed when they can’t get enough to cash out.
If you’re desperate to win money, you’ll be much better off spending your time entering free competitions online, while your odds may be 1 in several thousand for most competitions, it’s still far better odds than this!
For example; businesses on Facebook do competitions all the time. I once won 5k worth of holiday vouchers from a simple sweepstake on Facebook.
I believe there were 10k entries and 2 winners. So, my odds were 1 in 5,000.
Was I lucky? Well…. yes…. But I made my own luck because I used to enter thousands of these things every month.
When you enter thousands of sweepstakes, you’re going to win something sooner or later.
And they’re totally free to enter too.
If You Don’t Just Want To Get Lucky…
When I first came online, I relied on luck, (& some effort) much of the time – through entering online competitions.
But the rewards were probably not enough to justify quite the amount of time I put into it.
That’s when I became interested in the idea of building income streams, passive income and side hustles.
Check out this post to read about some things that I’ve tried over the last several years.
One of the top things that’s helped me, is having website/blog that I have grown over several years.
I can make money from my website with things like paid advertising & affiliate marketing.
If you’d like to learn more about how that works, start with the free training here first of all.
Have you had any luck with these free raffle/scratchcard Apps?
I’ve had many complaints from people who play similar Apps to this and get stuck & simply stop winning money – once their winnings approach the payout threshold.
