UserFeel Review: Is It Legit? Can You Really Make Money Testing Websites?
I’ve been taking a look at Usability testing sites recently.
Because, in comparison to other small-income opportunities online, (such as survey sites) user-testing pays significantly better!
Generally, you’ll be paid $10 for a test that will last between 15-20 minutes.
How often you’ll get the opportunity to do one, does vary. So, to have the best chance, it’s worth signing up to a few different websites.
UserFeel is another legitimate company that provides a service for website owners, to test out various features of their websites, (such as design, navigational and functionality features).
UserFeel pay others, to provide this feedback – and that’s where we come in!
On the one hand, it’s an opportunity for website owners to get feedback on their websites.
Maybe they want help deciding on the design of a specific feature, or their concerned about how visitors navigate their way around their website.
So, Usability testing companies will charge a certain amount, (in this case $49) to help that website owner, by finding someone to test their website.
On the flip side, there are the user-testers, these are the ones that will answer questions and complete mini tasks for around 15-20 minutes.
Often both the user-testers screen and voice is recorded, sometimes they’re recorded by camera too, depending on the company.
How Do You Become A User-Tester With UserFeel?
With UserFeel, you will need a microphone and your screen will be recorded while you complete tests.
Your internet connection should be relatively fast, as it takes a while to upload the test when completed.
Before you can become accepted, you will need to perform a qualification test.
You won’t be paid for the qualification test, but they need to ensure that you can speak clearly, that your microphone is adequate and that you can express your thoughts well while conducting the test.
On completion of this test, you’ll also be given an overall score and this will effect how often you’re invited to tests, (obviously, the better the score, the more test opportunities you may have).
Your score will change as complete more tests and are rated by other companies.
You will be paid via every 7 days via Paypal.
Tips for your Qualification test…
DO
Clearly speak your thoughts out loud while you’re taking the test.
Let them know if you’re confused by something on the site.
Say out loud if something is standing out to you, or drawing your attention.
Explain why you are taking the steps that you are.
Provide suggestions or comments that may help improve your experience on the website, if you think of them.
Specifically follow the task set of you and don’t veer off into something else.
Make sure you are speaking loudly and clearly into your microphone.
Answer the written questions at the end thoroughly.
DO NOT
Just tell them how you like the site and give no constructive criticism or helpful comments.
Just claim that it’s all OK.
Veer off and start performing different tasks, that have not been asked of you.
Have any long periods of silence, always speak your thoughts out loud.
Do not ignore instructions, try and follow them to the best of your ability.
How Often Will You Receive Tests?
Unfortunately, this isn’t possible to answer, because it can really vary.
Firstly, how often you receive tests will depend on your star rating and the higher the rating you have, the more tests you will be invited to.
But it also will depend on other factors, such as your demographic, how many tests there are available and how quickly you can accept tests.
As the tests are on a first come, first serve basis – you will need to be quick taking them up too.
As yet, I can’t see any specific times or days that I get more, it just varies.
Also, I tend to not qualify for a majority I try, this will be due to a few screening questions they ask you in the beginning – they’ll be looking for a specific demographic.
If you happen to be within a particular demographic that a majority of websites want, then you will get accepted on to more tests.
With user-testing sites in general, I’ve seen plenty of people claim to make around $100-$200 a month – sometimes more, sometimes less.
But, ultimately, you need to be vigilant checking for available tests and there are no guarantees.

UserFeel is a completely legitimate company, that provides a service to website owners to check various features of their websites.
It also provides regular people with the opportunity to make a little extra cash on the side, by becoming User-testers and testing out these websites.
How much you make with UserFeel will depend on a variety of factors. Such as…
How well your tests are rated,
How many tests you get accepted on to, (depending on your demographic) and..
How many tests in general are available at any given time.
To have the best chance of making money with Usability testing, you should be as available as possible.
Keep the website when you’re online and you’ll see tests coming in.
You can’t make a full time income by testing websites, but it can be a nice way of making some additional money and quite enjoyable too.
