What Is Clickperks? Scam Or Easy Cash Opportunity?
There are tonnes of different sites online where you can earn points or cash that can be exchanged for rewards. Sounds awesome doesn’t it.
But most of the time, you need to do a tonne of work to get enough points/cash to redeem. So, in many cases it could take you several months to make something worth taking out.
Then again, if you enjoy the tasks on offer, then this is a way you can make a little extra pocket money… it can also be a good option for teens, as many sites like this allow for you to sign up if you’re 16 plus.

Clickperks Review In Brief:
Website: https://clickperks.com
Price: Free to join
Money Making Opportunity: Pocket money.
Overall Verdict: Legit, but not great. This site is mainly geared to US citizens, although you can join from other countries as well. They specifically ask your location and do not lock you out if you’re not in the US… yet, in the terms and conditions, they state their site is only open to US residents. So, why do they let other people join? Does that mean if you’re outside the US – you won’t get paid?
What Is Clickperks And How Does It Work?
Like many sites of its kind, such as Swagbucks, (my favourite one) you earn points from completing certain activities online such as:
-
-
- paid surveys,
- cashback for shopping online,
- paid, free and trial offers,
- watch videos
- Sweepstake entries
- Play games
- Search the web
-
Once you have a certain number of points, you exchange them for rewards – such as giftcards. You can also earn more by referring friends.
Well, the initial homepage of the site looked pretty good, but what about the inside? I decided to sign up and check it out for myself.
Signing Up With Clickperks:
To sign up, you do need to provide your details – including your home address, which I feel is a bit unecessary really.
Also, you have to be careful to avoid spam before you have even started. As you sign up, there are two tickboxes at the end. One is just asking to confirm you have read the terms and conditions.
The other is below:
As you can see, by ticking the box here, you content to recieving calls and messages by third parties. You do not need to click this and I strongly recommend that you don’t.
After this, you can move straight into the main site.
First Impressions were that it looked to work similarly to Swagbucks. Actually, they seemed to have taken some of the info from swagbucks. They are meant to call their points “CPs..” But with some rewards, they mention SB’s, (e.g. Swagbucks!).
In any case, there are quite a large amount of ways to start making your CPs – including 1500 retailers that you can claim cashback from. Although, I wasn’t sure how to find this, as cashback wasn’t actually advertised on the main page.
What I could see was…
-
-
- Free offers
- Free surveys, (mainly links to external sites)
- Live Surveys, (none found when I joined)
- Top surveys, (links to external survey sites mainly).
- Videos
- Blue Dolphin Magazines, (says you’re entitled to five magazines worth $100 – which I believe signs you up to a subscription service, so be careful to check T&C’s. When I clicked however, it just took me to a blank page – this may be due to my location).
-
While the main homepage looked OK. The inside of this website looked more dated. Plus, the addition to things like Blue Dolphin Magazines in the main tab, just seems spammy to me.
I’m confused about all these cashback offers that are meant to be available. There is nothing that I can find. There wasn’t any information about how much you get for referring others either, but perhaps this is all due to me being outside of the US.
How Much Can You Make?
To get $1, you would need 10 Clickperk Points. To get a $25 giftcard, you’d need 250 Clickperk Points.
An average survey, seemed to be around 5 points.
But if you were to take up an offer to join other external survey related sites and followed certain instructions, (e.g. complete paid surveys up to $3); some of those paid anywhere from 9 to 90 points… from what I could see.
So, how much you earn is obviously going to depend on what sort of tasks you do and how often you do them.
If you don’t want to complete offers that you pay for, or free trials, then joining other survey sites through ClickPerks is an option.
You just have to browse the site and see what’s available!
One of the highest I saw as I was browsing, was the one below for Survey Rewardz.
Has Clickperks Changed?
Having read through some other reviews, it seems this site is different. Some people mentioned them having UK offers…which they certainly don’t right now.
They also say in their information that they’re only available to US citizens.
Perhaps this was different in the past? There are also sections missing that seemed to be there before. Such as the shopping section.
There was also no pay-to-search option when I was there. Unless it was hidden in some dark corner of the website!
Referral Program!? But How Much Do You Earn?
A referral program is mentioned on this website and you can even pick up your affiliate link.
But NOWHERE does it tell you what you’re rewarded to bring people in? It’s totally bizarre. Is there even an affiliate program… Or are you just bringing in people for free?
It seems like a massive oversight to not have this information on their website.
Then again, they do have content on their site mentioning earning SB’s, (swagbucks!) rather than CP’s! That’s a pretty massive error as well.
PROS VS CONS
PROS
-
-
- A fair amount of different ways to earn points – although, not if you’re outside the US.
- A large variety of gift cards.
- You can redeem from just $3 – which is really low.
-
CONS
-
-
- Only caters to the US, but doesn’t tell you that and allows you to sign up from outside the US.
- Site looks old fashioned
- I couldn’t see any info about referrals, they haven’t said how much you earn per referral, (unless I just can’t see this info!?).
- There were meant to be games, videos and pay to search options – I saw none?
- I saw no cashback options. This could be because I’m not in the US.. but I could see other US only offers, so I’m not sure why this would be the case?
- Some spammy offers.
- Some sections seemed to be titled inapropriately… such as “Top offers,” or “Top Surveys…” Which didn’t seem to pay any more than other offers or surveys on the site.
- Poor customer service options
-
If you’re looking to earn Cashback, you may want to check out Ebates if you’re in the US. If you’re European then Maximiles also has a wide variety of offers.
If You Sign Up To Clickperks, (or similar sites):
I strongly recommend you have a completely separate email address for signing up to sites like this. Having a unique telephone number, (rather than your regular phone number) is also a good idea.
Get a cheap pay-as-you-go phone, one where you cannot be charged for texts to be sent to you. You can pick up a mobile for next to nothing these days.
If you don’t take these steps, you can get spammed from various third party companies and they can be pretty relentless in my experience.
What Is Clickperks? Legit Pocket money Site, Or Waste Of Time?
I was left a little confused by this experience. There weren’t all the things I was promised there would be – although, this may partly be due to my location.
While I have seen other reviewers saying that you can join from US/Canada and UK… when I joined, it said you had to be a US resident in the INFO section.
The website also looks different in older photos.
But also, other things were missing, like the referral information.
On the plus side – some people complained about how much you earned per survey or offer. But I have personally seen much worse.
There were plenty of different survey opportunities and offers available and it’s really good that they have a low payout threshold – $3 is not going to be hard to make.
Once you’ve reached that threshold, at least you can either just cash out and move on, or keep going for a higher amount. Far better than being stuck having to work tirelessly towards a high $20+ threshold.
So, it’s a mixed bag here! Good and bad… Basically, if you’re interested, you should just check it out and see what you think.
The important thing to remember is to protect your info from spam, read the T&C’s and make sure you always tick NO to contact from third parties.
If you make the money though, you should be able to withdraw your money no problem. Keep any details/screen shots/emails from any paid offers you complete, in case they don’t go through.
Beyond Sites Like This… Do You Want More?
You’ll be lucky to make a couple of dollars an hour on most sites like this.
With the exception of purely doing paid offers – but that can lead to a lot of spam and can be risky too, (you sometimes have to cancel a membership in a certain time frame or pay for a service first, before getting cashback).
It’s fine if you enjoy these sort of activities,- but it’s just not going to make you anything like a part-time income. It’s pocket money and sometimes it’s barely that.
Most people give up before they even make that few dollars.
If you want to build a long term income online, you need to put the work and effort in required to do so. It’s not just a simple thing and you do need to develop some skills.
I make money from having websites online – which you can earn from in many ways and you do NOT need to be technical to do it, (trust me on that… I will show you what I mean…)
