Is Earning Station Legit, Or A Scam?
Welcome to my Earning Station review! 🙂
Earning station is yet another reward site, where you complete simple tasks for a small amount of money, or points, which you can exchange for rewards.
There really seems no end to these sorts of websites and more are popping up every year.
Relatively new to the scene, they could be seen to exist as a business in 2011 – but did not really become active until 2014.
Feedback appears largely positive, with some reporting that getting disqualified from surveys appears less than other sites of its kind.
One drawback is that Earning Station is USA only. You must also be over 18 to sign up.
Thankfully, unlike my previous review of Nicequest, THIS IS the sort of reward site that I would usually find more interesting.
It is what I term an “all-rounder,” which simply means that it provides a variety of other ways you can earn online, not just surveys.
Therefore, Earning station is more similar in nature to Swagbucks, rather than something like Ipsos-Isay.
You can watch the video below to learn more about this platform:

How Do You Make Money With Earning Station?
As with most sites of this nature, signing up is simple to do. There are no fees involved, it’s free to join and you can sign up quickly with your email.
You will then be asked a series of questions regarding things like your age, income and ethnicity. This is just standard practice and the information is often said to be used to match you to surveys more effectively.
You also have the opportunity to earn $10 right away, by signing up to 5 additional websites, (other survey-related sites) that they send you to.
Earning station will be benefiting from you signing up to these websites, but for $10 upfront, it’s not a decent incentive.
This site has a variety of ways that you can earn. Including…
- Paid Offers,
- Surveys,
- Watching Videos,
- Finding Coupons, Referring Your Friends,
- Inputting Codes With Extra Values.
- Shopping/Cashback.
When you accumulate enough to withdraw, you can exchange your station dollars into giftcards and there is a decent choice available.
A Closer Look At How You Earn:
Surveys:
Still one of the most popular ways to make a bit of extra money online. There are a variety of surveys available, with a similar layout to Swagbucks.
Offer Toro:
You can watch videos and clips for approximately 20 cents. You can also earn more, by downloading the app.
Videos:
Another opportunity to earn from watching videos, on a variety of different topics.
However, you hardly get anything for this at all for this, so there wouldn’t be much point unless you really enjoy it!
Games:
A small amount of cash for participating in certain games online, including some casino style games.
Codes:
Sometimes you can come across special codes that Earning Station release via social media, or publish on their blog. If you use the code within an allotted time, you can earn extra station dollars.
Offer Wall:
Paid offers will normally pay you to take some kind of action. Often this will involve signing up to a free trial, or signing up to another website.
Sometimes this can be one of the more profitable ways to make money with these sites, but you do need to careful with some of these.
You are often asked for your credit card info – always read the small print, as you will often be required to cancel a trial before an allotted time to avoid being charged.
Shopping Online:
One of the quickest ways to earn. Here you can get cashback from a variety of shops online.
You can also get coupons that you can print out.
How Much Can You Make?
As with many of these websites, Earning Station also has its own currency called “station dollars.”
1,000 station dollars is equivalent to a $10 giftcard.
At present, you can only withdraw from a minimum of $10 – which is fine.
I’ve seen far worse than $10 payout, many sites have reduced their payout threshold to $5, which is more attainable if you don’t want to be spending too much time on these sites.
Personally, my favourite way to withdraw from these sites is by Amazon gift code. But you will need to accumulate $25 before you can get an Amazon code at Earning Station – I’m not sure why that is.
Referral Program:
As with many of these types of sites these days, you can earn a certain amount from getting your friends and family to sign up.
In this case, you earn 10% of everything they make, for the lifetime of the membership.
To be honest with you, this normally won’t be much because so many people just get bored with these sites and don’t end up using them much.
Where it could be potentially more profitable, is if you already have a blog, website, YouTube channel, or massive social media following.
Then you can recommend sites such as these to your readers and have more luck that way.

Earning Station Feedback & Complaints:
Earning station has relatively few complains and plenty of GOOD comments and feedback.
Some of the positive feedback includes some of the following points:
- Some report a higher level of success with qualification for surveys, (many surveys chuck you off for not qualifying and it can be one of the most frustrating aspects of surveys). That said, some people still complain about disqualification here too… and I’m dubious it can be better than any other site, as many of them share the same survey providers.
- A higher level of pay per survey completed, in comparison to other sites.
- A wide variety of offers and surveys.
- Decent rewards, also including cash via paypal option.
Complaints were really not bad at all so far. But, obviously with it being a newer website, there has been less time for complaints to arise too.
Even so, the signs are fairly positive so far. Complaints largely seemed to be those levelled against most of these sites, such as disqualification issues, (although some people debate this) and not earning much for your time.
PROS VS CONS
PROS
- It’s free to join, (always should be, never pay to join a reward site like this).
- Decent choice of surveys.
- Good offer variety.
- $10 pay-out threshold, which is fine.
CONS
- Time consuming, it’s slow to make enough to cash out.
- Paid offers will often include things that you need to remember to cancel.
- You can lose any points you accumulate, if you do not participate in a 90 day period.
- After one year, all of your points will go bye-bye.
- $25 payout threshold if you want an Amazon gift card.
Is Earning Station Legit, Is It Worth Your Time?
Earning station is not a scam, it’s one of the more legitimate reward sites out there.
This is the sort of site online that you should use in conjunction with other reward sites, in order to maximise your income potential.
You will not get rewarded highly for your time, that’s just the nature of these websites. But they can be a fun way of making a bit of extra pocket money.
These kinds of sites will be a popular choice for college students and stay at home parents… or even those looking into starting affiliate marketing, (as many sites like this have referral programs).

Beyond Survey Panels Online?
Many people come online looking for a way to make a small amount of money online, which is fine.
But most of the time, you really won’t make anything substantial with sites like this though.
A couple of dollars here and there, is realistic.
NOT hundreds of dollars a month!!
