Is Paid Surveys Legit… Or Is This Just A Scam?
I came across paidsurveys.uk.com when I was researching another site with an almost identical URL called: paid surveys UK,(reviewed here)
But this one stuck out to me, because they claim you can make £300 a month with them, by answering paid surveys. Having looked into hundreds of similar opportunties, I can smell the BS from far away.
Even if you tried to spend 8 hours a day answering surveys, (which I really wouldn’t recommend), it’s unlikely you’d make £300 a month.
In fact, I challenge anyone to show me solid proof of them making £300 a month doing surveys in their spare time.
Even if it was theoretically possible, I couldn’t imagine someone actually doing it.
Mainly due to the frustrating aspect of being relentlessly chucked off surveys, it can be such hard work to actually qualify for surveys that any sane person would start to go nuts after a while.
Sometimes I may have to start 5 or 6 surveys, before I manage to complete a single one.
Every time you start a survey, more time is spent answering questions and often you’re chucked off prior to getting any reward for your time.
They try and make it sound like a JOB…. see below, they say you need “no contract…” and that you can earn 1000’s.
They say it’s so simple – sign up for free, complete online surveys and then get rewarded. But paid surveys are by no means a simple route to easy money. Nor any reasonable money!
Paid Surveys – It’s not what it seems.
You don’t actually even need to sign up with this website at all.
They ask for your name, gender and your date of birth…. but notice, they’re not even asking for an email address, you create no username and have no password.
This “sign up,” process is just a front to make it appear that you’re actually signing up to something.
So, What Is It?
All this site is, is a survey portal. Once you have filled in the initial details, they simply direct you to a whole list of other survey websites.
At the time of writing, those survey sites were:
- Toluna
- Opinion Outpost
- YouGov
- MySurvey
- Inbox Pounds
- Global Test Market
None of the above survey sites are scams, they’re all legitimate survey sites. Although, this website does present them in a more favourable light than the reality.
For example; they claim you can make up to £5 a survey with MYSURVEY… while there may be one survey in a million paying £5, surveys do not pay you that per survey.
You’ll be lucky to get £1 for most surveys and often it will be less.
So, What Is In It For Them?
This is an affiliate site. There is only one purpose of this site, they are driving traffic to these specific survey websites, because they will earn a commission for anyone that signs up.
There is nothing wrong with affiliate marketing, it’s actually how I make the most online.
But these portal sites rarely provide you with any value. They are not legitimately checking out these survey sites and reviewing them, they’re simply directing you to them for a commission and how good they might be is not of importance.
What are they offering you in return for the commission? Are they giving you a detailed insight into the survey site, and presenting you with the pros and cons?
No, they’re simply stating some of the basic facts about the site, (all positive) and linking you directly to the website, without any additional info.
Is Paid Surveys A Scam?
Well, there is far worse sites out there than this. They may be giving you misleading info about how much you can earn, but you won’t lose any money here.
While sites like this one are pretty void of value, this website is still linking you to legitimate survey platforms.
By contrast, I have seen portal sites just like this directly linking people to blatant scams, as well as suspected scam survey-related sites.
There are scam survey sites out there that will charge you money to join them, claiming you will make thousands from completing surveys online and then they simply link you to a database of free survey sites.
The sites they link you too, are readily available to find anywhere on the web. But they make it sounds as though they’re linking you to well-kept-secret sites that give high pay-outs.
So, while sites like this one are deceptive on some level, they’re harmless by comparison.
You won’t be losing any money at all, by visiting this website and joining survey sites that they are recommending.
They are sending you to well known survey websites, that pay out to their members – albeit many having serious complaints against them and frustrated members in many cases.
People get frustrated and fed up with surveys because they can be such a waste of time.
Some sites are also poor at actually paying members and people feel they’re being scammed when they spend a tonne of time answering questions, only to be thrown off for not fulfulling certain criteria.
For the most part though, that’s just the nature of paid surveys, they can make you want to tear your hair out and throw your laptop accross the room.
I prefer reward sites that pay you for other things that you’d be doing anyway, like shopping or searching the web.
>> This is a reward site I continue to use.
Beyond Survey Sites:
If you found this review and you’re not already a regular visitor to my site, then I imagine you’re trying to find legitimate ways to make money online.
Yep, I’ve been there too and it’s really hard to find legtimate things. You can make money online, but the news flash is that it actually does take a lot of work on your part.
Most people quit prior to making anything, because it can take a lot of time.
That being said, it’s worth it, because you really can learn so much and building up your skill set online will ultimately lead to you being able to make money.
I guess that’s just the same as work in the real world? Well, online a lot of the stuff you’d be doing will involve being self-employed and that can give you far more freedom in the future.
You also don’t need to answer to anyone, you don’t have to work in a cramped office, you don’t even need to get out of bed if you don’t want to.
So, yes, there are lots of benefits to working from your laptop. But it’s still a lot of work and is far from an “easy,” option.
However, if you’d like to learn how to make money online and to grow an online business from scratch, you can start here – for free!
Have you had much luck with online surveys? Let me know in the comments.
All the best,

Actually, the scam goes more like this:
Paid Survey sites get paid in cash by companies to harvest peoples personal data and opinions, they then pay you in points, or vouchers, which cost them little to nothing.
Usually, after you sign up to a paid survey site there’s a fairly extensive questionnaire that you have to complete, they dress this up as “completing your profile”, what they’re really doing is harvesting your personal data and opinions and then selling that directly to the companies.
Make no mistake, the only people that are going to do well out of this are the companies.
It’s very deceptive to be frank, and I’m not sure how or why stuff like this is legal. It preys on the poor and vulnerable.
